Marvel, lands ABC Set ‘The Inhumans’ TV Series


The comic book studio has abandoned plans and is now set with ABC studios to team for a live eight episode live action series of drams and the premiere is set for the 2017 fall.

Few details about the project cast, producers and premise. The series first two episodes will debut in IMAX theaters in summer 2017 for two weeks before moving to ABC in September and will be followed by new six subsequent episodes.

As per sources, this is not planned for Inhumans feature film and it was initially set for July 2019, but now the schedule observes a change.

The Inhumans with diverse and unique powers were introduced by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby in Marvel Comics in 1965. In the Marvel Universe, they are the most popular characters. ABC’s The Inhumans will explore a new epic adventure of Black Bolt and the royal family.

For ABC, the latest Marvel drama is expected to join the network’s schedule. Marvel, is now teaming with Hulu on a new comic book-based series that is in development and has dramas at full slate at Netflix and the upcoming X-Men spinoff Legion at FX, in association with other projects.

The Inhumans on the big-screen was announced for a 2018 release and is now pushed to 2109 making room for Spider Man. Marvel is positioning the Inhumans as the answer to the X-Men. Marvel, in the recent comics, portrayed them as a persecuted minority.

For IMAX, this is the first time a TV series is debuted in theaters. IMAX will also be the financing participant on the pilot. It is the first time a TV series is debuted in IMAX.
