In Alcester, South Dakota, on Monday, a car bulldozed into a crowd of pedestrians where two people have been killed, and six people were injured, after that, the vehicle smashed into a building injuring the driver too, says by a police official.
The driver is now at a nearby hospital plus he is in police custody, but the police do not disclose the identity of the driver to media.
After a vivid investigation, the police officials said in their preliminary report, stated the vehicle incident as an accident, which was done unintentionally. The accident took place just outside the Alcester Care & Rehab Center, which is a nursing home facility.
Soon after the incident, eight people were injured had been taken to hospitals, while two people were apparently were pronounced dead at the hospital, which was tragic said the State Highway Patrol spokesman Tony Mangan. But the identities of the dead or the injured were not disclosed by the police along with the vehicle’s driver who has done the accident, and Mangan also disclosed not even the conditions of the injured people.
There is an investigation has been placed by the state police which will find out the reason behind the accident, as it is still unclear about what leads the car crash, which leads to killing two of the pedestrians and injuring six in total, including the driver.
Apart from that the Highway Patrol will also help the police in the investigation, to find out about the exact incident.
