The iPhone 8 will offer a display better than current iOS devices. An iPhone 7, will feature a 1334 × 750 resolution on a 4.7-inch display providing a “Retina display” at 326 ppi. There will be an effectively 5.15-inch screen with the rumoured 2436 x 1125 resolution offering roughly 521 ppi.
The iPhone originally ran at 480 x 320, that was later doubled to 960 x 640 for the original Retina display on the iPhone 4, that has grown to scale featuring larger screen sizes that Apple used in subsequent devices to maintain on current devices that 2x scaling. The rumoured resolution implies that iOS would be running at a different order of magnitude of pixel destiny featuring 3x Retina assets.
In other words, the iPhone 8 is sure to be a visual leap forward from the present generation iPhones and will be on par with the recent Android phones of high-end.
