Microsoft launches Xbox One X in India on Tuesday. The company has a comprehensive retail distribution plan for India, according to Priyadarshi Mohapatra, Country General Manager, Consumer & Devices Sales, Microsoft India.
Microsoft Xbox One X will cost for Rs 44,990 in India and will be available to buy online on the Microsoft India store, Amazon India, and Flipkart. Xbox fans can also purchase a console from Landmark and Croma retail stores. The price isn’t exactly cheap and it makes the device a bit more expensive than Sony’s PS4 Pro which costs for Rs 32,000. The PS4 Pro console offers up to 4.2 teraflops and the Xbox One X supports up to 6 teraflops
Probably, there will be a richer middle class in the bigger cities that could afford the console.
The Xbox One X is Microsoft’s smallest and most powerful console. It runs on by eight-core custom AMD CPU clocked at 2.3GHz, a 6 Teraflop GPU, which provides smoother animations in 4K, and 12GB of GDDR5 VRAM.
Priyadarshi Mohapatra said, “All the studies and indicators have told us that the future of gaming is going to be immersive 4K. A consumer who is looking at the premium experience – both in terms of visuals and graphics -is the one we are targeting with the Xbox One X.”
Microsoft also said that if any customers already have the older version or the Xbox One S, they can upgrade to the Xbox One X as the company is offering the 4K patch for the games.
