It’s National Nutrition Month which focuses on the significance of physical fitness as well as eating nourishing meals. Whether you start your day with a healthy breakfast or a meal out at a restaurant, the foods you choose will make a real difference.
March is a National Nutrition Month which highlights how food choices affect our health and welfare, as well as the community and environment.
With the changing time, eating the right foods becoming more important and we have to follow the moderate diet and add “healthy” foods in our meal.
Experts suggest we should add National Nutrition Month such as seafood, lean meat, poultry, beans and nuts in along with fruits and vegetables in every meal. It’s also accepted that we should eat foods that are low in calories, fats, and sodium.
As it’s National Nutrition Month, we can celebrate it by learning and creating healthy habits in March. It’s a nutrition and education campaign created by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
The campaign helps to make smart and educated food decisions and start well-grounded eating and physical activity habits.
The campaign was launched in 1973 originally as “National Nutrition Week,” with the theme “Invest in Yourself – Buy Nutrition.”
Now, through internet campaigns, especially on social media, the promotion for National Nutrition Month is done. This year, “Go Further with Food,” is a theme of the campaign that includes habits such as fueling with healthy foods before a workout, preparing and packing healthy snacks for the day or starting the day with a healthy breakfast.
