Google’s Shopping Actions service will make product searches easier than before. With this new program, you will be able to easily buy items you search for on Google, according to the company.
Alphabet Inc’s Google has partnered with retailers including Walmart Inc, Costco Wholesale Corp, Ulta Beauty Inc., Target Corp, and Home Depot Inc.
Under a new program, partner and retailers can sell their products on Google Assistant on mobile phones, Google Search, the Google Express shopping service, as well as voice devices. The company said that the listed items will be appeared in sponsored shopping results and will be separate from regular search results on Google.
The new service will provide you a universal shopping cart and you will be able to access it from your mobile phone, Google Home smart speaker, or desktop.
Over the past two years, mobile searches asking “where to buy products” increased over 85 percent and around 44 percent of people using their voice-activated speaker weekly using it once a week to purchase products, the company said.
“It’s clear that people want helpful, personal, and frictionless interactions that allow them to shop wherever and however they want — from making decisions on what to buy to building baskets, to checking out more quickly than ever before,” Google said.
Google’s president for retail and shoppings, Daniel Alegre, said in a statement, “We see ourselves as part of a solution for retailers to be able to drive better transactions … and get closer to the consumer.”
