Last week saw one expected deal lapse as well as various others undergo changes and updates
Monday morning saw the amendment of Promotora de Informaciones SA (PRISA)’s reverse takeover of Liberty Acquisition Holdings Corp. The announcement Prudential’s rights issue delay - set to finance its acquisition of AIA group - will also result in a revision of the timetable for its planned listing on the
Hong Kong and Singapore Stock Exchange, the insurance group said at the start of last week. It announced the terms and timetable of the right issue this morning, including further details on the Prudential Group/ AIA combination.
Also last Monday, Seadrill Ltd has filed a mandatory offer for the remaining shares in Scorpion Offshore. The company had previously announced its intention to make a mandatory offer on April 12. The offer will be launched at NOK 36 per share with the offer period running from May 10 to June 7.
